The group American Muslim Physicians of Indian Origin (AMPI) formed in 2007-2008 has the goal of ameliorating these health care needs. The insight into local condition of Muslim Indians by Muslims of Indian origin will allow AMPI to plan and implement specific programs to help their particular requirements. In spite its name the group is inclusive and welcomes the participation of anyone with goodwill. The recipients of AMPI programs will include all Indians irrespective of faith, tradition, class or gender.
